Matthew 28:19-20 establishes our church's motto for this year, 2026: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Amen.“.
We know that the entire life of the church should be focused on God's Mission, and that is how we always want to live. In this year of 2026, we want to concentrate our attention and resources on investing in the Mission of sharing God's love with others.
Being a “Church on Mission” means that each member takes on this responsibility, not only in relation to their individual lives and sharing the Gospel, but also in relation to other specific missions in which others are involved. Thus, the whole church is challenged to strengthen its commitment to missions:
Here, Terceira Island, through Clara Barcelos, with the APEC ministry;
Also here on Terceira Island, through Dan and Tori Nilsen's family, with the ministry of the Retreat Center;
In Piauí (Brazil), through the Nazaré and Sandra Pereira family, with the project "God loves Piauí";
In Japan (coming soon), through Rebeca, with the "Mission in Japanproject (in the menu on the right, you can click on the "Mission in Japanbutton for more information).
Still in preparation for Mission in Japan, Rebeca shared the following message in Portuguese and English:
